Ah. Our band's singer has been working on some techno demos on the side...pretty interesting but not very Unbalanced in sound. Really different.
We've been also recording some stuff, though at a slightly sluggish pace. It's been a bit hard for me to get back into it fully, as I've been making some mistakes with some of the more complex songs since I haven't rehearsed them much in a long time. However we've been practicing them and I've been catching up and making great progress again :-)
I'd LOVE to share a work-in-progress instrumental of our song "Miserable Me" here, but Josh won't allow it (he doesn't believe in showing off 'unfinished product' unfortunately :-( ). I think it's really good...

I go through phases when I want to work on music or don't, I've got a couple musicians lined up to help me work on this album (a brother-in-law and a friend), and my brother in law has a lot of experience with music, so I'm excited about it. I just want to release an album before I'm an old man, it seems like anyone who wants to do music nowadays must be a teenager when they first release albums (Hilary Duff, Miley Cyrus, Britney Spears, Jesse McCartney, etc), and I'm 22 years old, so I feel old. There's a wonderful singer, Haley Bennett, who performed songs and acted in the movie 'Music & Lyrics' starring Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore, and the main song to the film, 'Way Back Into Love', was a hit in some countries, yet because it was on a soundtrack album, it wasn't an official contract she had for releasing solo albums. She's been trying to get on a label for two years I think, and she's an amazing singer (and she's beautiful), yet she is 21 (or 22) and not a teenybopper. She's recording an album anyways, I wish her luck on finding a good label to release her music and not an indy label that'll only sell 6,000 copies or less.
I can share song titles on here, songs such as 'Like A Star At Night', 'Walking Down Lover's Lane', and 'Sexy Lady'. Sexy Lady was originally titled something else, and I wrote it with an old friend of mine a couple years back, who I used to write songs with. I have the song on cassette somewhere, and it's a nice recording (for a cassette recording) with just him playing the acoustic guitar and me singing. I wrote the majority of the lyrics on the demo, but the lyrics he did happen to write, I happen to hate, so I'm going to change them... those lyrics he wrote are the chorus lyrics. I'm also going to disco the song up with keyboards and no acoustic guitar. When we recorded the song, we hadn't any idea what to write, so I told him just to play random bits and he was playing something nice all of a sudden on his guitar, and I was like "repeat that!" and we ended up recording about two minutes of the song. I have a ton of cassettes with demo songs on them, nothing worthy or releasing, but worthy of going back and listening to them, and then re-recording some of them.
