Does anyone else have a favourite misheard Queen lyric?
For years I thought that the last line of the chorus of Killer Queen was "they say she pulled an appetite, what a drag!" I still sing it that way to myself, and I still think it sounds like it :)
Not to mention Bohemian Rhapsody's "Spare him his life for these Walls Sausages" (probably only relevant to UK members) ...

I had a bad copy of GHII on cassette when i was 13... I loved "The Miracle", but the tape had no song list... I heard it as "it's America"...it's what i sang for ages until got the Miracle CD lol
Would never have made sense these days...
"The one thing were all waiting for is peace on earth - an end
To war
Its America we need - America"

I don't have any favourites or humourous ones, but I'd have to say the most popular one would be :
"Hit me with a window", or "Hit me where the wind blows". From Bohemian Rhapsody.
It's understandable, it does sound a little like that. Doesn't make a lot of sense though.

Be careful! The last person who wrote like that became a rich Washington speech-writer.

When I was growing up and playing albums at home a family member thought "Keep yourself alive" sounded like "Jesus of the Night". It does sort sound like that sometimes and even years later, once in a while i still here it that way.

I think I misheard every single one of them. Not being an English speaker, things got worse.
So many...
I remember I tought it was "I want to break free from this life, it's all satisfied, I don't need you...".
For me the beginning of "Let Me Entertain You" always sounded like: "It's the sound. Every one of you ladies and...", instead of "it's a sell out, let me welcome you...".
"Rich or "pouring famous" (I don't know how I came about with this instead of the more simple verse) for the truth is all a shame", in Hammer To Fall. This one I misheard almost in its entirety: "Make the bet", "Lady Marcy"...
In Radio GaGa: "A background force for girls and boys, who just don't know and just don't care, and just don't blame where you're not there...", and then: "We watch the shows, we watch the stars, our meals (!), for hours and hours".
In We are the Champions: "I've taking my vows, my judge and cause..." (!!!!!!!)...
And on and on and on...there's not a single Queen song that I haven't entirely or partially misheard.

My mam thought that in Bohemian Rhapsody the lyric 'Spare him his life form this monstrocity' was 'Spare him his life for his pork sausages'!! And whenever we listen to the song she sings it that way!! At length, loudly, even in public!!

I have a friend who told me she for a veeery long time thought
"When love must die"
in Who Wants To Live Forever was
"I love my style!"
Suitably, right? XD

That's what Peter Kaye said at the Q+PR Hyde Park 2005 gig, when he played his Tape machine, along with lots of other artists misheard lyrics.
