They need a new stylist.  Rodgers especially needs to stop buying the "off the rack rock star line" from K-Mart.

I hope you feel the band needed stylists from 73 - 91 as well. whenever people complain about PR's style I imagine all the horrible styles Freddie showcased over the years which makes Paul look like any regular guy

Freddie's horrible styles?  Are you sure you should be posting on here instead of the Paul Rodgers Fan Club?

But yes, Freddie makes Rodgers look like just "any regular guy".....who dresses at Wal Mart.  It's hardly Zandra Rhodes, is it darling?

Another example of a Queen "fan" who can only defend Rodgers by attempting to drag Freddie down.  What a joke.

get a grip on reality, mate. should I join a Paul Rodgers fan club because I think Freddie Mercury dressed like a clown? should I keep away from this forum because I say something negative about Freddie Mercury?
Freddie is my favourite singer of all time, but I question many aspects of his persona - from his drug use, to side A of hot space, and also (albeit more tongue in cheek of course) his sense of dress.

now; I really couldn't give a shit what Freddie wore and didn't wore. BUT; when someone comes along and slags off Paul Rodgers because the way he dresses - I need to point out that Freddie was in no way a yardstick when it comes to how to dress. if you seriously suggest that Freddie's 1984 tour outfits were better than ANY of the Paul Rodgers styles we've seen so far, you need to get a grip.

a while ago in another thread, I pointed out that Elton John was a superoir pianist to Freddie Mercury - should I go away from this forum because of it?

I'll ignore the fact that you're calling me "a fan". I think you're confused about this term. a fan does not have to worship every aspect of an artist. including sense of dress

Freddie always looked unique and his costumes and outfits are still remembered fondly, no matter what your personal opinion of his outfits.  Like I said...Zandra Rhodes??  Don't think you'd catch me wearing anything like Fred wore onstage though!  What you overlook is like Fred said himself "Of course it looked ridiculous, but IT WORKED.  What did you look like ten years ago?"  And you're even reaching so far as to trying to compare Freddie circa 1984 to Rodgers in 08???  Talk about out of context by a quarter of a century!

You mean to tell me Rodgers dress sense displayed in the photos here "works"??  And what on earth does Elton John's piano playing got to do with anything?  Of course he's a better pianist than Mercury was.  So what does that have to do with Rodgers looking like Mr Bland AOR rockstar?  Look at those pics will you, he can't even wear pants that fit properly for a start.

Again, Rodgers looks like he dresses off the rack, or perhaps looks like his wife dressed him.  Actually, that's even worse.

She's obviously been busy with the "Bedazzler"

My God man, there was even a international touring photo exhibition of Fred is his array of costumes over the years.  His outfits have sold for big dollars even before he passed away......yeah, what a "clown" as you put it.  Hang your head in shame!

Having said that, Freddie's hot pants were shocking.  Very Freddie though.

It must be boring with all the Queen discussions on here.....

...is that a shot of you practicing your favorite hobby?

Seeing you repeatedly fail to ever make a point, I'll sink to your level then

....and you actually call other people trolls!  What a hypocrite.  Keep on wasting bandwidth with your pointless photos....

I'm sure this is a good discussion if you're into fashion and what your heroes wear.

however; I couldn't give a shit about what either Freddie or Paul wear. I wouldn't want to look like any of them

BUT; regardless of exhibtions or zandra rhodes, Freddie looked like an idiot from time to time. the exhibtions are held because the clothes happened to belong to Freddie, who was famous for his musical talent. with such a talent, comes a loyality from the fans, who will worship everything about you.

I too would go and see a Freddie exhibit. not because I think the outfits are "zandra rhodes, darling". but because they belonged to my favourite singer. they might as well have been regular jeans and a baseball cap

but to critisise Paul Rodger's sense of dress because he isn't flamboyant in the way Freddie was is stupid.

pants that fit properly? who the F*** cares? Paul is one of my favourite singers of all time. he could wear zandra rhodes and look like a dove for all I care - the man can deliver a song
