Okay, here's something awkward and I've been always wondering this: what was the use of those two/three little cymbals that were part of Roger's kit? They weren't miked as far as I know, so I assume it was just for show, to make the kit look fancy on both sides?
On this pic you can clearly seen them:

Those were used on Killer Queen... and it seems to me that on get down make love too... but on killer queen you can clearly hear them on 0:08 seconds of the rock montreal concert... I think... lol...
They are the Paiste 'accent' cymbals! They were used on Jealousy (8" version) and many other stuff. The Live Killers hints are also true.....Check out the 'Liar' Live stuff from Earls Court. During the intro hi-tom rolls he added them in too.....They were very well used.,I'm sure there ar emany more instances?
Maybe all the cymbals don't need mics
Hmm, but such a small cymbal was already included in the kit, look here: http://img24.imageshack.us/my.php?image=rogerkit.jpg

Not individually anyways, contrary to foolish belief. Overhead condenser microphones are able to pick up multiple cymbals as long as its within range of the mikes.
