the smile 45 was auctioned some weeks ago togheter with other memorabilia from late 70's. The collection was from two twin sister who met the band several times during Killers and Game tour in USA. I myself took some items from the seller who was not very consciouness of what he had. So Samuel did not specify the source and considering that signing on a narrow places like a label is very hard, I still believe that this item could be genuine. Also, if I want to fake something I dont ruin a very rare single like that.That's just my opinion... I also would prefer a clear and perfect signature on an item like that. As Jeroen said the custom single cover reports a great example of Brian 77-80 signature style.

The signature on the sleeve is definitely genuine, the signature on the record itself is definitely fake.
