Hi,
I know this may be a dumb question but, I've looked all over the net to find out the process of mastering The Knebworth Concert in the studio to the superior sound heard On The Live Magic Album. you know what I mean?
They must of used the Thank you all Knebworth recording or something equivalent to that. I'm a multimedia type person and I've always been intrigued about learning about profressional Video And Audio Techniques, like audio mastering for instance  So, can you guys share some infomation and feedback about The Knebworth Audio Mastering for the Live Magic Album?
Thanks.

As has been stated several times here, they did not use "Thank You All" or any other version of that audience recording for the official release.  The official release is from a soundboard recording, while Thank You All was recorded with a little tape recorder from very far away in the audience.

The answer isn't going to change, so I can only suggest you stop obsessing over this.  An audience recording cannot somehow be remastered to sound as good as a soundboard recording like you hear on Live Magic.

They used MarioPaint to add digital effects to the "Thank You All" recording and replace those pesky vocals with the pleasant sounds of airplanes, boats, stars and cats. The remastering process can be seen here:

They re-recorded it.

Hope this helps.
