wow!first of all let me clarify things,I´m not an adult,1994 it´s my birth date really, second where it says him it must have been her cos I´m in fact.....a girl....and third the word idiot is very boring, you need to broaden your vocabulary or idiot is the only insult you know?let me help you:

ass, fool, imbecile, jackass, mooncalf, moron, nincompoop, ninny, nitwit, simple, simpleton, softhead, tomfool. dope, gander, goose, cretin, ding-dong, dip, goof, jerk, nerd, schmo, schmuck, turkey.

you can use one of them next time you insult me or any newbie and I see you learned to write in italics and bold at the same time, congrats on that great achievement.

It´s really funny how some people lose their temper for nothing......=)

Thanks so much for posting this!!!!  I was born 4 days before this show!
So, I was born two months before you !! Maybe I would have been able to tape that one, I think there is a special corner in the Madison Square Garden for wheelchairs, and another one for baby carriages ! Security would not have been that tight in a baby carriage ... The mics in the beeb... First row to watch that Bicycle Race !!!
MANY thanks for that 3-sourced recording, glad you made it !! Totally amazed by the work that has been done by you, Pittrek and all others on those multi-sourced recordings, that's a very nice idea to create the best version available for each recording, even if it's also interesting to have each different version too. Each have its story, but the multi-source gathers all that and gives us an excellent occasion to hear a complete concert from the old days !
Thanks a lot !

Olivier,

Ha ha!!

True say.  The first two sources are up here on their own, too.  Maybe not the exact same tape transfers, but they're at least pretty close.
Ah... that explains it then. Not that I would ever make a gross, sweeping generalisation but if you were only born in '94 then no wonder you don't care about converting to MP3.

This is not meant as an insult or criticism but you've grown up in the age of the walkman/discman/md/mp3 player where all the focus is on getting your audio as quickly as possible, making it compact/portable and playing it on a device with a poor quality amp and a really horrible DAC. By the time such a device spits the results into your ears you may as well be listening to mp3 @ 64kbps!

It's a shame really because before the introduction of the walkman there was some spectacular audio equipment out there and in most homes. In fact there still is but now they've priced it so outrageously that it's the sole preserve of the elitists. Nothing can match the quality of a decent hi-fi - remember building a setup from separates - each one from a different manufacturer to get best of breed? Giant, mongrel hi-fis that could reproduce frequency ranges most people will never hear on a modern system and with startling clarity.

Never mind all that nonsense... the question is, can you play mp3s on it?

This is another show with several great musical and other(haha) moments! Terrific:-)

It's so great to be able to listen to all that old stuff and to come as close as possible with actually being there.

Well, I am old enough to have taped this show....in fact I did.  But i am too old to understand how to download it without a torrent, could someone please convert this to torrent form so I can hear it!  Thanks Bob for all your hard work, its great to hear that some things (like old tapes) can continue to improve with age and care.
