I am new here and have looked around a lot on the internet to try to figure out what the background voices are singing in "Somebody to Love". It's at the end of the line, "I take home my hard earned pay all on my own". I've tried watching the video, etc, to see if I could read the lips, but to no avail. Anyone have any ideas?
Sorry if this has been asked/posted before.
Thanks!

I always thought it was "goes home on his own".

Since I'm at work, I can't listen now, but I will later and see if it fits! Thanks!

Those lyrics, like all of the others I've come across online show most of the background lyrics but never the ones I am looking for. Maybe I am not the only one who has a hard time figuring it out!
Thanks for your help, though.

I think it goes:
I go down (down)on my knees (knees, praise the lord) till the tears......etc

Thanks Robin & Erin! I think you guys hit it on the head. It seems so easy to hear / see it now, but I swear this line has haunted me for a long time!

It always found it strange that they emphasize HIS. (Home on HIS own). While when you would say this line normally, you'd emphasize OWN
