[/img] Good point!
Although, all joking aside, it would be good as Bradford '74 is one I don't have yet ;-)
My version is unfortunately lossy. Indeed, would be great to see that one appearing as really lossless, as it seems it is circulating as lossy nut not that much as lossless !

An awful lot of my recordings were either bought from record fairs or traded before the advent of MP3.
I have an awesome archiving system for this stuff.
Anything that was really good quality was recorded to CD (back when CDs were £3 or £4 each and the recorders for the PC were £300 each!), and the not so good stuff went onto minidisc (because they were much cheaper!).
Bradford is on CD.
I notice that it has been uploaded onto another thread now, but I'll dig mine out and compare to the new upload and if mine is better sound I'll upload it.

I almost get nostalgic for the pre-internet era of trading - seems more exciting somehow? Not that I'm complaining! ;-) Your system sounds good but I'm guessing that your MiniDisc transfers were lossy?
I only have had a very worse edited version on an LP called "Fairytales Of Yesterday" before the mp3 came arround. So my better and longer version of this show is lossy, too.

I expect so. Of course, nobody knew minidisc was lossy. All the reports at the time i bought my machine (1994?) suggested that the reason minidisc was smaller, was that CDs contained a lot of "dead space" that contained non-audio information.

Fun! Minidisc was sold to me as being smaller because CDs contained lots of frequencies which were outside of normal human hearing whereas MD did not. Needless to say I didn't buy it. Or an MD player! :-)
