Pink? In Freddie's jacket?

Scary.

Very interesting. Thanks for the thread. There are now a lot of videos on YouTube of Kate Perry, who I think presented the last MTV Europe Music Award, which finished with a performance by Pink I guess!, doing live covers of "Don't Stop Me Know".

Have you seen those?

Anyway, it's very interesting to see Queen songs being covered by such famous artists from a very different background and whose music have little resemblance to Queen's!

I guess it's a sign of the band's recurrent success.

Thanks!

Let's hope Britney doesn't cover any Queen songs soon. It's hard to forget the Pepsi/We Will Rock You thing. But Britney is BUBBLEGUM POP and she covered 'I Love Rock 'n' Roll' and thought she really was a hard rocker.

To be honest, there's not many women out there that do 'rock' music. There's only a few who can play an instrument AND write a song by themselves.

Diane Warren, is my idol. I'd totally bang bang her if she was ten years younger than she is now. It wouldn't be as horrid. Though, I think she's lesbian.

That wasn't nearly the steaming pile I thought it would be. She didn't do too bad at all, really... and I can't STAND Pink.

All it needs is Brian and roger coming up through the mist for the heavy bit... they've never done that type of thing before! :)

What?  It's been 12+ hours and Treasure Moment hasn't yet heroically stated that nobody is allowed to cover Queen songs... ?

It was a valiant effort on a song that most singers wouldn't even attempt.  And the outfit looked great.  The band held their own too.

This caught my eye,

[b]US rapper Lil’ Wayne has been compared to Outkast and Freddie Mercury by the producers of his new rock album 'Rebirth'.

She held her own. Better than you can say for most who attempt that song. All she needed to do was close the show with TYMD right afterwards and we've got a decent little Queen tribute band there.

The outfit was a great nod to Freddie. Pay close attention to the left leg of that sparkly leotard...

I saw Pink at the o2 Arena last night and have to say was quite impressed with her version of Bohemian Rhapsody.

She also did a pretty good job of Led Zeppelin's  Babe I'm Gonna Leave You.
