I've been saving some money for a new guitar, and I decided to buy the Red Special from BrianMayGuitars. However, I cannot find ANY vendor here in Holland which sells it. Ordering it online is another option but I'd rather have a store to go to in case of problems.
seems there are no official BMguitars in Holland but one in Belgium and one in Germany...
Though the shop I bought my RS isn't in the list...
anyway I agree with you that buying an instrument is much better in a store where you can actually feel and try what you're gonna buy!
Hope you'll get you RS and enjoy it
Rock on!
cheers

People from Holland are very shady.
Brian has expressed many times that they refuse to play there anymore because of this. As such, he doesn't want any of his guitars on display there for fear they may get damaged, forged, or compromised in some way.
I'd just buy a Peavey Raptor and call it a day.

Aside from confirming a fan's e-mail concerning a story about some costumes of his being stolen in Holland around 1974, where has he said as much that he'd rather avoid Holland? I thought he praised the Dutch a lot, even calling them "Queen land" at times?

Yeah, when he played in the Netherlands during the last QPR tours he told us we were very devoted and long term fans. He said he loved to be back to play for us!
I noticed he also said that during concerts I visited in e.g. Belgium, Germany and France.
And I'm sure also there he actually was talking to the Dutch fans who were there...
:-)
But serously: The Netherlands has (officially!) the longest running Queen Fan Club in the world.
There you have it.
