why cant the real NHS be more like the Mill Health Centre in BBC daytime soap Doctors?
ive just phoned them regarding a home visit [being the fact i live in the back of beyond and the nearest hospital is 30 miles away] to patch up my blistered foot and it was like the Spanish Inquisition from the receptionist.If it had been in the TV programme i would of had Michelle or Cherry [drools] around here quicker than you can say 'diabetic neuropathic' tending to my every whim and saving a life elsewhere at the same time.Instead ive got to sit by the phone until they find a district nurse willing to come off the beach and out of their surfsuit and fix me..oh hum

[/QUOTE] ive got it bandaged and in one of those airtight boot things,i vented my spleen when i went to the dr's though,strangely they couldnt understand why i was pissed off with having to hobble to the surgery with an open wound in my foot and not have a 'home visit' by either the dr or a nurse. by the time i had finished venting my spleen they had given me extra bandages and swabs and have arranged a district nurse [hopefully not Nerys Hughes] to visit me on friday to change the dressing.
