It's so sad what's happened to him. And now this...it's really sad. It's such a treacherous illness - I have to check my skin for it very often because I'm very likely to develop it. The doctor get furious when I "forget" about the appointments. Hehehe. I have already had some spots removed from my skin for prevention sake.
Maybe, who knows, Michael Jackson had that in-built belief which is so strong in many people, myself for sure included everytime I skip the appointments, for instance: we play with the idea that youth is endless and that we are eternal. That there might be a way to avoid getting older!!!
It's a comment on how unbearable it has become in our culture the idea of getting older. It's not as if there were any good aspects to getting older or as if human beings had never dreamt of preserving their youth much before the age of plastic surgeries and so on, but I find people nowadays outright [b]refusing the fact[/b] that they are going to get older, and they get kind of [i]deformed [/i]in the process.
Aging sucks, I'd say, but aging happens - it's better to learn to deal with it in a healthy way than deny the fact. :op
Here's hope the doctors found out about the illness while it's still in its early stage.
