As far as i know Queen Productions clams that no studio version was ever recorded. I think someone said once they have a copy of it but that has never ben proven and doubtful it will ever surface. For now it is still just a legend. There are however a few live versions of it in the early 70's bootleg recordings.

A studio version DOES exist.
No, I don't have it.

Hangman (Studio Demo)
Written by Unknown
Appears on: Trident Studios Hangman 10" Acetate
Although denied to exist by Queen Productions, a studio version of Hangman does still exist. The acetate is owned by a private collector. It is unknown if there are any other versions or acetates of this track
I own a studio version in pretty decent quality, but I never knew how rare it was...

My previous posts were deleted in this thread, but Roger suggests there is a "rough version" somewhere, during this live internet stream from 1998 (0:57)
Thank you Kurgan for uploading this snippet. It's interesting to hear Roger answering questions asked by the fans. They are always more unconventional and unpredictable than journalist's questions. I'd love to hear the entire stream of this.
