Is there any news on the proposed QUEEN movie,starring Johnny Depp,ive heard Tribeca, own the rights,in my own opinion JD is probably the only actor wh could pull this off............................

Depp's not gay. He's married to Vanessa Paradis and has two children. He's also had numerous relationships with women. In fact one of my problems with him is that he has been domesticated; no more trashing hotel room! LOL
But anyway, even if he was gay, why would that make him qualified to play Freddie? I would rather a great straight actor play Freddie than a bad gay actor. (Not that Johnny isn't great of course.)

Depp is a fully qualified homosexual, I've seen his certificates, he's the real deal. All of his well publicised romances have been clever media ploys to throw people off the scent, cunning!
Depp is a pretty versatile actor, I reckon he would do a worthy performance as Freddie. If not him then who else?
It has the potential to be very good, but could easily be very bad. I'm not convinced it will ever see the light of day

True, Johnny Depp reminded me a lot of Freddie in that film. I think he might have modeled his look after Freddie... But where have you read about him wanting the part and admiring Freddie's contributions to music? I don't think it's been confirmed that he's on board yet...
