I agree.  John was a great bassist.  Very underrated.  He's not as good as Chris Squire or John Entwhistle but he's still a great bassist.

He did NOTHING different on the bass.  He just plodded along, barely audible in many cases, and did the bare minimum.

His taste in clothing was even worse than Entwistle's.
