Looks like Mr. Lambert has plans of his own. The WWRY musical is certainly not on his wish list :)

The Freddie film is under way (well it's been written anyway)

The timeline is set during the lead up to the Live Aid gig ... however the main issue will be who they get to play Freddie

Frankly it would be better to have a talented actor to play him, rather than trying to find a look alike, it doesn't really matter if he doesn't look the same IMO
But the part he plays has to be believable for it to work

We shall see...

I'd love to see a Freddie film.  I don't think I'd like to see the one that will probably get made in the end though.
That whole 'road to Hell being paved with good intentions' thing, see ... there's a ton of possibilities for a good movie to be made about Freddie's life, but it'll probably get the Titanic/Pearl Harbour treatment (or God forbid, something closer to that terrible "Dreamgirls" movie ....)  and wind up being an embarrassment.

I don't want to see a biopic, I want to see a proper documentary about the band.  Beatles Anthology style, dagnabbit!
That sounded like a very polite way of saying, "thanks, but no thanks".

I actually look forward to seeing what this guy does. Best of luck to him.
