What I did, simply, was to place a thread on queenzone announcing a Freddie/Queen-related eBay auction which I had posted. I'd assumed that someone might be interested in the auction, and I'd hoped for as such, as I could really use the money. What I got in return, however, were completely shrewd, smartass comments from folks who are seemingly not unlike yourself. If having read my thread by your own volition somehow was misconstrued into my having wasted your time, then I am sorry for you having participated in this thread.
It's unfortunate that queenzone isn't a warmer, more welcoming forum. Likewise, it is unfortunate that a 39 year old man can engage in such a juvenile, pointless attempt at making light of and poking fun at a completely innocent initial post.

I purchased that case directly from Denis O'Regan, a few years ago. His British Airway passes are still attached to the handle, and I own both the original picture of Freddie on the case and the rights to it. I don't wish to sell the entire case, as I intend on selling it to Hard Rock Cafe in years to come (they have already made an offer, which I refused, figuring that the price would only increase in a decade or so). Obviously, some folks, yourself included, found the notion of the auction ridiculous - that I would sell parts of the case for profit. Why not? I paid for it, so I can do with it what I wish. Auctions that I've had in the past of similar items, from different parts of the case, did quite well. After losing my professional position in mental health a couple months ago, I've been coming up with all sorts of things to place on eBay. Unfortunately for me, I incorrectly assumed that someone on queenzone would be interested in my two most recent auctions. Perhaps die-hard Queen fans with an already established collection wouldn't be interested in such an auction, and those same people seem to relish making fun of the very notion of selling parts of the case. So, screw it. I took down the auction. I did NOT post my initial thread to "get laughs." I posted it in the hopes that it would draw attention to my auctions.
If you're done with being a prick and would like to instead chat and see pictures of the case and of Freddie in Budapest, I'd be happy to email them.
ps- I deleted my posts, as I didn't wish to receive further hassle over my auctions or this thread. I get quite tired of replying to hateful bullshit. It's unnecessary. In lieu of being a place for "fans" to congregate, queenzone seems to instead be a breeding ground for folks who wish to hide behind the faceless medium of the internet to harass, interrogate and poke fun of other people, some of whom geniunely do have an interest in Queen.
