Comments : Originally, this show was set for Monday September 21, the date that was also printed on the
original tickets. For reasons unknown it was moved a day earlier, the new date corrected on the tickets
with white stickers covering the original text. This recording is the only known source of this great,
intimate performance. Although recorded from the second row, right in front of the mini-catwalk, the
recording turned out very good. Despite some small drops in volume here and there and occasional
audience noise when Brian stepped forward to the catwalk, the whole is clear, balanced and very
enjoyable. A standard setlist with no unusual moments; though it does capture one of the finest examples
of Neil Murray's great bass-solo on this tour. Unfortunately on the night the auto-reverse function of
the recording equipement failed, which caused the final minute of No-One But You and the whole of All
The Way From Memphis to be not recorded. This recording was released immediately after the show as
cassette copies, but stayed fairly uncirculated. The version you find here (TFR019) was the first and
only digital transfer, from the original masters, made and released in 2001. To make this set a full
concert experience afterall, the ending of the show was cross-faded with the same songs recorded three
days later in Utrecht, The Netherlands. (The whole Utrecht recording was released as TFR020 -which is a
different recording then the one used for the well-known 'Mayday' set- and is now also in circulation).
