Now I switched to IE, it works there but it doesn't work for Firefox !

What version are you using? I have 3.0.10 and am having no trouble whatsoever.

I have 3.0.10 as well.

Now when I think about it the problems started after I updated to newest version of IETab but I don't see a way how could it influence this.

It's sad that I have to switch to IE when I want to post something, I hate ads :(

Hi, dear Pittrek!

Quite in a hurry and only because you rock my world. ;-)) Otherwise I'd have remained quiet, I guess. Hehe.

Well, I'm using I.E and I can't write anything in the textbox when I try to create a thread, the only thing I'm able to do is, as you pointed out when you were using Firefox, typing on the titlebox. It only happens, though, when I try to create a thread and am using I.E.

As for the mails - I don't want to get any either when someone replies to a thread, but I have been able to check and uncheck the box and, up until now, I haven't received any unwanted e-mails.

I hope it helps, my dear.

Thanks for everything, Richard, and all the effort you put on the website. It's really beautiful.

Best regards,

Yara

Thanks Yara,
good to know that I'm not the only one :) Even when my problem is slightly different :)

I have the problem when I post a new thread. I can type into the subject line but not into the text window. My solution: I post the  empty topic, then I choose "edit" and write my text into the text window. I uncheck the "Subscribe to this thread" box right under the text window before I post.

I still cannot send private messages , someone must pm me first, then I can answer.
I do not want any google ads here.

Regarding the PM thing I get the same problem as you YV.

And I had the same problem with the text area as well when I was trying to post an announce for the Q+PR show at the SECC last year for Marknow. Ended up posting it in the same thread that Grahame started.

Strange problem that.

hi,

You are able to edit your forum subscriptions in your profile area as well.

I am using FireFox 3.x and am able to unsubscribe from a forum post, as well as start a brand new post.

Can you describe the behavior of what happens when you try to, but can't post.  Do you see the text box?  Is it grayed out?  Only the "top line" of the box is active.  So, if you click too far below, it doesn't activate it.

I will see if there is something else i can do on my end in the meantime.

hi,

I think i have resolved your "not being able to write in the text area" problem.  Please let me know how you go.

i have also had another look at personal messages.  these should now be working well for everyone...

Hi Richard,

no, it's still not working (I'm writing this from IE again).

As  I wrote, the problem is that in FF I can't "click in" into this text area in which I'm writing this post right now. I can see it normally, it's not disabled or anything like that, I simply can't put the cursor to it

Also I tried to click on the checkbox with the description "Email me when someone replies to this thread ", the only action is that the page reloads and the checkbox is still checked. This happens on IE and FF.

I also tried to uncheck the checkbox with the description "subscribe to this thread" which is above the "Post Message" button on this page, but the result is the same.

But it looks that I can paste using CTRL-V (at least in IE), thanks for that
