boy troubles

Hi, I know none of you know me but I used to be on here all the time a few years ago. Anyway, I could really use some advice.

Okay so there is a guy (lets call him Fabio) that I really really like and I don't know how he feels about me. (sorry if i sound like the stereotypical teenage girl). 
We had a class together last year and we got along pretty well. We have a mutual friend (lets call him Butthead) who told Fabio I liked him, although he promised me he wouldnt. So then we had a homecoming dance at school and Fabio asked me to dance and I was insanely happy. Butthead kept asking Fabio if he was going to ask me out and he kept saying maybe. Fabio is really shy and never ask a girl out before. So eventually Butthead kept asking him and he was like "no, I only like her a little bit". So then I was really sad for a while.

Then one day I stayed after school with my friend (lets call her Alice) and Fabio randomly came up to us and started talking to us for 15 minutes even though he was suppose to go home (he lives right next to the school). When I got home, I saw that he emailed me asking whats up and we have been emailing back and forth ever since. Well yesterday, Alice had a pool party and invited Fabio and Butthead. Fabio and I were together all night and we were partners playing chicken (I got to sit on his shoulders *faints*) We had so much fun and I saw him check me out a few times (or maybe that was just in my head but I don't think it was).

Well anyway, if you read all of this thank you and I'm sorry for boring the crap out of you. If anyone has any advice or comments to offer up that would be very much appreciated.

I've talked it over with my friends. I just want to get a perspective from someone who doesn't know me.

Think of it like this; in 100 years, who's going to give a toss!   This guy (clearly) is not that great.  Use him up, learn what you can and move on.

There is something really special about him though. I know he doesn't like talking to girls so I feel like that might be part of it. I don't want to give up.

There's this girl at my school who liked me for about a day. She wasn't ugly, either. And then I don't know what happened because I've never talked to her before and I haven't heard anything about the situation since.

It made me sad. Nobody's ever liked me in my life. R.I.P.
