You won't be a "waste" if you do contribute something new, something which you have yet to do (while you have been known to criticize others who do contribute greatly).
Get the recording, share the whole thing in lossless, and you'll be a hero. Sounds pretty simple to me if you're actually in contact with the guy.
But if this one falls by the wayside like your Mar Del Plata audience tape did, nobody's going to believe a word you say again. So by posting this sample and essentially promising a recording in the end, this will determine if you're bound to be a contributor or a troll. Time will tell.

Nobody accused YOU of ripping it from youtube. But nobody can deny that it is exactly the same clip that is on the youtube link posted above.

Did this person indicate in some way that they're the taper or that they know the taper? Or maybe they ripped this from youtube, and they don't actually have the rest of the recording? If the sample was lossless, that would at least give it some credibility...
