The mighty Queen undiscovered vault is a treasure trove even Indiana Jones couldn't find. Recently I came across this demo from the Sheer Heart Attack outtakes. Here are the lyrics.

Take me to see an epic
Take me to the best thing of all
I want you to take me, take me
Take me to the Ball

The wine will flow and spill
We'll converse in foreign tongue
Partying on and on until we're ill
Having the time of our lives
                          While we're young
Swinging from chandeliers with skill
A massive masquerade of fun
At the greatest show of them all
Take me to the Ball

Gladrags, fancy bags and nomads
The waifs and strays are welcome
Exotic meets frantic merging into erotic
Pirates will have champagne and toffs rum
Socialites will rise and fall at the Ball

Take me to see Ben-Hur
Take me to best of all
I want you to take me, take me
Take me to the Ball

Is that Paul Rodgers singing Dreamer's Ball ?
Buy the reissiued Josef Stalin album - Big Boobs, which influenced Queen to release Hot Space - Out Now - with the new previously unreleased track: Gulag For Everyone

Or just a very silly hoax by an untalented lyricist attempting to pastiche Dreamers Ball?

It's only a bloody record, people get so excited about these things.

You really are a dour lot. Freddie would not have been proud of you.

Yes I am, Mighty Quinn. Although I am an U2 "stepford fan"; I possess U2 toilet paper.

As regards the song the tune in my head when I "composed" the lyrics was Now I'm Here, hence the Sheer Heart Attack connection. Sometime soon I will get round to putting music to these Dylanesque words. I'm sure you will want to hear the finished article. :-)

Dreamer's Ball is one of my fave songs. Completely uniquely Queen.
