What's even better, it's only 400MB size, so it's faster to get it. :-)
Why does it happen sometimes? There are concerts with about the same lenght but very different size: sometimes both are lossless, but one takes twice as much space in the HD as the other!
Is it due to the transfer or the recording itself?

Assuming they transferred the recording properly (no doubt, really), it's the recording itself. Mono is only one channel, so it compresses to FLAC much easier.
