"It's the Boston recording taht would need a slight speed correction. For this one, I don't know, I didn't have the time yet to listen to it... Too many downloads these days...."
I did a pitch correction with goldwave I slowed it down to 96%. I used the Studio version of Boh Rhap to compare the intro to it. It sounds just about right. My upload speed is terrible (DSL). Maybe someone with goldwave and a good upload speed can do a torrent or a rapidshare?
Something I noticed about the Prerecorded intro, Did Freddie sing "I'm just a poor boy, nobody loves me" Live for this intro?

I noticed something strange there at first listen too, I will check that more closely tomorrow.

I don't think so. Sounds like somebody accidentally nudged the volume knob on the prerecorded track. The vocals seem identical to the studio version.

No, if I'm right there is no 24/96 version for that one, only for the Dan Lampinski recordings.
I had a strange experience with that recording. Today, I was driving for some time, so I was mucky I brought this recording with me.
And while I was listening to the intro to "The Prophet's Song", I just pushed the volume button up. Believe me, do the same, put the wife and the kids outside (find any reason !), push the volume at full blast (well, at least until the voice gets slightly distorted !), and listen to Freddie playing with his own voice and echoes. Close your eyes (don't do that while driving of course !), and imagine yourself in the hall, with the guy in front of you and his mike, producing that loudness alone. Enjoy that sweet moment !!! Wonderful with that quality, you imagine yourself in the hall without any problem !! Then you're ready to enjoy Boh Rhap, classic among all classics.
And I had a second of pure excitement when I heard the few measures of 'Stone Cold Crazy'. The guys from Dream Theater came on stage, joining Queen !! For two tracks, 'Stone Cold Crazy' and 'Keep Yourself Alive', they played alongside Brian May, doing the echoes themselves, playing the same notes as Brian, but one second gap late compared to Brian, to mimick the echoes he usually uses. God, that was stunning !!
The problem is, while Liar began, I found it was nothing but a dream. But hell, they added even more power to the set, it was an incredible experience !!!
I really should stop smoking now ;o)
Queen in the 70's had all they needed to be a leader band : Freddie's voice was still in top form, creativity was there every second, the energy was at his maximum, and they showed such a huge power, that I would give all I have to come back in the past and be in the audience of one of these shows. Really the best period for Queen. Amazing !!
Thanks a lot Dan for having taped and shared this recording, you made me fly for a few minutes....

Olivier,

To answer a few questions since I am the guy who uploaded this originally at dime. The speed is fine on the recording, it was double checked before posting and no corrections were needed. All JEMS master recordings are transferred at 24/96 and if enough interest is there can be posted as such at a later date but there is no plans as of now to provide this or any other JEMS master recordings in 24/96. Finally since I am sure it will be asked at some point, this is the only Queen show that JEMS ever taped.

One is a hell of a lot more than zero. I've wanted to hear the uncut pre-LP for about 10 years, but I honestly thought it would never happen. I just finished listening to it (along with the Lizzy opening set), and it was joyous. Thanks a ton for getting it out there.
Of course, a 24/96 version would be great, but I'm sure there are plenty of other shows by other bands that should get out first.
