Perhaps, if microwave was not involved in this thread, if Fatty wrote the post instead of Yara, and if "American" was substituted for "Nazi", and "Texan ears" was substituted for "Jewish ears", Yara's post might have been considered funny by many QZ forumites. Unfortunately, Yara tried her bit at dark humor, and unwittingly stepped into a minefield, much to microwave's delight at this comedy of errors.
Being from an insulated, arrogant country on another continent, and also being naive, I found Yara's post to be very amusing, (at least until it was pointed out that Microwave was at the center of this topic). Then again, the Nazi stereotype means nothing to me (which should come as no surprise to those who know my "meager" history on QZ). Perhaps I found Yara's post to be amusing, due to my warped sense of humor, and having been at a gaming convention a few days ago, where dark, rude, and inapproriate humor was "normal".
I would hope that microwave would have the sense to apologize to Jessica, Yara and YV, but I won't hold my breath. After all, he works in the useless "American Finance" industry (whose rape of the world economy led to this economic world recession).
