When I listen to the White Queen, before Freddie sings at the time of 3:36  into the song until 3:40 I hear this Majestic, Magical sound which sounds like a horn. But is that Brian May with his Guitar creating the Fantasy sound or else I would love to know.

Yes it is guitar. Just before the main electric guitar solo there are 3 harmony guitars playing a swelled attack .that have a kind of wah-filtered tone. On top of the solo there are 3 harmony guitars, each side, making a total of 6. These were played through the Deacy amp.The higher registered guitar chorus (trumpet fanfare type sounds just before the Fred re-entry) are also the Deacy amp.
I only know this as I picked this song apart for my version of recording it.

I think the BBC version of this song is simply stunning.  The guitars on that and piano on that version give it a great earthy edge...........just like all the BEEB stuff..........when are we going to see ALL that properly released!?

I don't know if virtuoso is the right word but it is simply brilliant what he used to do on guitar.  Same goes for "All Dead, All Dead".

Or '39... nothing there's too choppy or fast or difficult, but it's so bloody beautiful what electric guitars do during the instrumental sections.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.

I think White Queen may be the most under-rated song Queen ever did.......it is fantastic and it was great live (especially with the piano and Brian's guitar over it) and in studio.

If Queen ever did an absolute greatest.... :o)
...greatest songs that is (not just hits), I think it should be there.....Classic Queen II should come out with it
