There was a time that I respected Brian and what he had to say about various artists; for example I agreed with him about how great Avril Lavigne was, and had to agree that the Foo Fighters were a great band (although not MY type of music), but the day he announced that Katy Perry was great and that Adam Lambert was also a great singer was the day i lost my respect for Brian and his ability to judge other artists musical prowess.
I've heard Perry sing live and she's shite. I've heard Lambert sing and he's also shite (both live AND all those studio recordings that are on youtube). At least Britney Spears has the decency to mime her live concerts!
I heard Katy Perry a while ago on the Today Show, and she was singing at one point without any backup, and she just sort of bleated, but I haven't heard enough of her to have a definite opinion.
Adam, however, has a great voice with fluidity and range. Brian is not alone in his opinion of Adam's voice as I have seen it a number of times coming from people in the music business.
In short, in my opinion, your opinion is spiteful. It may even be shitty. But you are entitled to it.

Adam has often spoken of his desire to update classic rock so that it appeals to today's young people.

He'd be doing Rock and the world a favour if he went retrograde. Who gives a fuck what the young people think. If he wants to make money he can do what any other Idol does (at least in this country) and make money out of being a 'personality'.

If he wants to help music, then it's a different kettle of fish. Hehe.

Well, I'd have to agree with you. I'm good with retro, but (And, god I hate to admit this!) I have seen the unsavory term "electronic dance beat" connected with what he wants to use in his songs, and I absolutely loathe those dance remixes of Queen music like Seven Seas of Rhye. If that's what today's young people want, then the hell with them!

Eric, IMHO, you are one of the biggest fuck-ups out there. You are like all those stuck-up whores that go to my school in their cliques. Do us a favor and shut your fucking mouth. Have a nice day. Attack me if you wish, but I am very resilient and dont give in to insult easily. Have a nice fucking life.
[b]Sorry to upset you to the grade you showed (A)lack of education(B)lack of education and (C) lack of education.
I know I'm a fuck up,I know I'm a whore.
Thanks for being the opposite of what your mother was teaching you.
By the way how do you know those ladies going to your school are whores? Are you pimping them? or they just steal your boyfriends because they are fun and you are a sour and angry at the world?
Look at yourself and for once be honest, are you a happy human being or do you have childhood problems where at times you had the urge to insult people you don't even know.
If peace of your soul is what you need go to church, if that does not work then go for: Xanax,Prozac.
have a great day, enjoy life.

I assumed that what was meant by the 'talks' between Brian and Adam Lambart and the talk of 'working together' etc was about Brian producing Lambart. I thought they probably didn't want to specifically say at the time what they were working on together in case it didn't work out. But since then hasn't Brian said that he'll be producing something Adam is doing? Or was I dreaming? I think the only reason the rumers started about the tour is because we're all looking for them to tour! It would make more sense that all the talks about working together referred to Brian producing him. He talked about working with and projects with Kerry Ellis before producing her too.
But hey, who am I... I don't have bigshot EMI friends! :)
But my uncle is a musician and he knows someone who auditioned for WWRY years ago and played with Brian and Roger and he said...
:)

Brian hasn't said anything about producing Adam's recordings, only about hearing a song Adam recorded for the movie 2012 at the same place where he (Brian) was producing a new album for Meat Loaf, who was seen with Adam a short time before that. The press were calling Adam the illegitimate offspring of Meat Loaf and Freddie Mercury, which Meat Loaf found entertaining.
I have no idea if anything is going on there behind the scenes. If so, then everyone is being very tight-lipped about it.

Don't know about Queen + Meat Loaf, but check out Brian's Soapbox from last week, Thursday the 13th, with some warm & fuzzy videos of he and Meat Loaf, including a big smooch.

[b]Well then keep playing your guitar, keep being a freak (look for a job with Chris Angel) and don't waste your limited time and even smaller portion of gray matter arguing pointless issues here.
See how simple it was,now in regards to shitty people? it takes one to smell one doesn't it?
