Is this what Queen is all about?

[i][b]I'm no angel, and the only string attaching me to this site has to be and better be my sacred admiaration towards Queen.
I'm positive 99.9% of the members here are educated but that 0.01 percent left really give this site a bad name.
This is what I have received from a member that shields herself behind a nick and a screen;

Erick, sometimes one just has to have the hide of a rhino here! It can be a rough and tumble place. They don't suffer fools, frequently asked questions, or Katy Perry very well, and sometimes you need to get a bigger shovel to keep up. Sometimes the remarks are just just rude or crude, sometimes they are funny and devilishly clever, but uncouth and unkind as some of these people are at times, they either grow on you in spite of it all, or like Freddie you tell them to kiss your ass goodbye! For sure it doesn't sound nice, Erick, but you have to be fair enough to acknowledge that trying out of the blue and without a shred of evidence to attack Mr. Scully, someone whom most of us here really admire and respect exactly because we're Queen fans and he has devoted a good deal of his time to build one of the very best websites about the band, a website which has been proved helpful for a whole lot of fans, was quite a low move. In a sense, you really had these things coming upon yourself, and remember that I warned you about it - be respectful to be respected. But no: you went on to create a thread brimming with a feeling of vengeance and resentment to strike back at people who had all the reasons to be suspicious of your intentions after your desperate try to get yourself some attention and reputation by defaming a polite and kind Queen fan and member of this website whose work on Queen is helpful to so many of us. 

If you had apologized and created the very same thread you recently did without all that vengeful and resented pathós, presenting whatever info you have kindly instead of throwing it at people's faces in a self-aggrandizing and arrogant way, we could be having a very nice talk about it all as of now.

But if it didn't work out for you as you wanted, you have only yourself to blame.

It's a pitty. Well, here's hope that you may change your attitude and join the club of the regular, all too ordinary users club which hundreds of people, myself included, belong to. 

If you want to set yourself apart from the ordinary users, you had better start sharing your info or stuff kindly, honestly and respectfully without waiting to get something exceptional back.

And if you, just like myself, doesn't have anything special to contribute to the website, try joining in the threads as a regular user and speak your mind without ruining the discussions.

Sorry for harshly attacking you like that eric, but I had in mind your treatment of Mr. Scully (as Yara noted) and various other harsh things ive seen you post about others. I will try to [b][i]sarcastically[/i][/b] insult you the next time I might have to. It just seems as though you act like a prick sometimes.

No flame wars are needed on this site. If we all flame each other it will turn out like MySpace.

A few posts down the line here Queen Archivist respectfully proposed a book of Queen fan art to sell for charity, and several members lobbed all sorts of abuse at him, and much of it sounded rather mean-spirited.

Yara, you seem to be one of the most thoughtful and patient people here. You have offered constructive criticism, with some understandable exasperation, to Erick.

My observation, being somewhat new here myself, is that Erick came bounding in here like a big puppy, and careened around a bit. I don't wish to rehash the material he was showing and whether or not it was legitimate because I know nothing about such stuff. I know that I heard both sides and am still confused about it. Anyway, Erick's "enthusiasm" was not appreciated and he got whacked around and struck back. The whole thing escalated, degenerating into attacks and accusations from both sides.[img=/images/smiley/msn/angry_smile.gif][/img]

Erick, your manner is a little different. The [b]bold print[/b] seems to be coming on a little strong, like yelling. Perhaps just plain old print? Not everything belongs in the "serious discussion" part of the forum either, though I can't tell you where the division lies between "serious" and "general". There seems to be a lot of overlap, and it is confusing, so I stay in the "general" portion, to be safe. There are others too.

I don't know quite what to make of your most recent information. That you [i]could [/i]get such information through the grapevine is possible. Is it BS on someone's part? I don't know. It sounds pretty far-fetched, but either it will come to pass or not, and I will be watching with interest to see what develops at any rate. At the very least it is a nice fantasy as far as I am concerned.

I like to give you a chance here, because you are interesting. If others think me a fool then let them. I'll live.

I agree here in 100%, but my space is a fun place because at least you see the face of the other person and you even have the chance of hooking up, but in here is just about who has the biggest shield to protect oneself.

Erick, please chill a little when someone offers a bit of an olive branch - even if it may sound ass-backwards to you! Otherwise this place will never calm down.

And yes, Freddie said that ([i]you can kiss my ass good-bye[/i]), in his younger days, in his song [i]Death on Two Legs[/i]. I think he came to regret that he had been so impulsive later on.
