I think Mr. Mercury was making what we here in Britain call a 'joke'.
The first post said at the end 'let this be the last mention of him' (or words to that effect) and Mr. M's post was saying 'who????' in such a way as to suggest that the guy was already forgotten. Hence the smile at the end - which denotes humour.

Actually, it is purely that the guy is not gonna go away if ignored, he is just gonna make thread after thread after thread. at least this way he is kept busy in the ones has HAS made and hopefully he will get so stressed he will burst a bllod vessel and spend some time out of action and we can ALL get some peace.
