Not exactly a live Queen album, but I've always been impressed by Roger and Brian's performance of Innuendo at the Freddie Tribute. Plant was not on top of his game, sadly.

Brian elicits such a rich, full and yet delicate, sutble, and distinctive sound from the guitar that he's able to convey a whole world of impressions, ideas and emotions through his playing.

Did he ever play "I can't live with you" live? One of my favorite songs from the 80's Queen.

well, maybe we'll get one more 70's release and some of those missing songs will be there.  White Queen in particular is brilliant live.  Maybe even better than the studio version.[/QUOTE]
I hope we'll get plenty of seventies releases the following years!

Live Killers - Sentimental value, when I was a kid I'd listen to this and spend the whole time looking at the pictures.

Live At the Bowl - Great recording, lots of rare songs

Live At Wembly - Powerful performance of the greatest hits, wish I was there

Live in Montreal - Kinda sick of it from all the VHS releases but a good show

Live Magic - Chopped up unfortunately

Did I forget one?  Oh wells....

I listen to the live stuff (and look the live DVDs) very rarely,
but the most I like Live Killers because of

- Brians Guitar solo still being a part of Brighton Rock and I love the point when Brighton Rock comes back as resultion
- Freddies audience interaction inside of a very well played Now I'm Here
- IMO the best live version of We Will Rock You Fast
- the psychodelic noises of Get Down Make Love
- Death On Two Legs & Dreamer's Ball

but still some very interesting things are sadly missed out due to being released 1979 compared to the other releases

- Another One Bites The Dust like played in Vienna 1982 (Bowl DVD)
- I like Killer Queen on Montreal a lot more
- Tutti Frutti as in Wembley 86
- an extensive Crazy Little Thing Called Love as in Wembley 86
- Flash and The Hero from Bowl
Buy the reissiued Josef Stalin album - Big Boobs, which influenced Queen to release Hot Space - Out Now - with the new previously unreleased track: Gulag For Everyone

I'd say that Rock Montreal, and Live at the Bowl were the greatest: Freddie's voice was in it's "prima era."
I always knew I was a star And now, the rest of the world seems to agree with me-Freddie Mercury

A lot of people say 70s Queen is superior and I'll certainly agree they were better in the studio, but I think I actually prefer 80s Queen live. Many of their 80s songs were improved a lot in concert. Some of their 70s songs were too (like White Queen and We Will Rock You), but I feel like with a lot of 80s songs the live version is the best one. Don't Stop Me Now and Father to Son are better than Radio Ga Ga and A Kind of Magic, but I think Radio Ga Ga and AKoM gain a lot from live performances while DSMN and FtS lose a bit.

And the better visuals of the 80s concerts help too. Also, I have to say that I can't stand the live version of '39.

Admittedly, the only full 70s Queen show I've watched on video is Rainbow on Youtube, though I've seen a lot of other song videos too (just not full concerts). I have Montreal/Live Aid and Wembley on DVD.

Yes definitely (though I think there may have been some better fast versions of WWRY).  I think what I like about this album the most is you can hear the CROWD and the ENERGY the audience has.  Live Killers has infamous mixing problems, but I think this ended up being a plus: it really sounds like you're there.  Queen shows were about the audience having fun too, and too many live albums mix out the audience.  When you hear the crowd clapping in time before Keep Yourself Alive begins, or going nuts before Tie Your Mother Down starts, or participating with Now I'm Here, it sounds like the perfect examples of what a rock concert is supposed to be.
