Yup! That old chestnut again. I found this a few months ago (don't ask, don't tell) and it's very different from the fake version that has been circulating around the Internet since forever. So I guess my question is - is this the genuine article? What do you think?

I hope not. It's a pretty bad edit.
Also the LP crackle sounds like a loop

An extremely bad edit indeed.
Reminds me of the hatchet job that Electra did on Liar when it first came out in the USA.
There are certain songs which should not be touched.Bohemian Rhapsody and Liar are two of them

A bad fake...
and the sound of the LP scratches... simply made with a program like Nero Wave Editor...
Now, if only the owner would give the world a detailed description of the edits, we collectors would be very happy, if only to set the record straight.

I've got a Bohemian Rhapsody single. Don't know if it'S from France, though.
It is paired with INLWMC. It is the complete song. Very nice pressing!

Reading this in the description kind of says it all really:
"Is this the long-lost French single edit of Bohemian Rhapsody? You be the judge!"
Terrible job... dripping with fake.

I wrote that description...

OK, then it's an honest question.
I still think it is not the real thing though.

Of course it isn't the real thing. Compare it to the edit of Liar mentioned previously, while it massacres the song, it still flows seamlessly (at least it would to someone who hadn't heard the full song)

In 2002 i downloaded from AudioGalaxy a French Edit of BH.
Here it is:

I suppose that this one is real.
(I DO know that it´s ilegal to upload copyrighted material but as this edit is not now available for sell...)

I heard a supposed 'French Single' edit of it which was just the opening and ballad section, guitar solo, then the piano at the beginning of the operatic section, which then cut directly to the guitar runs at the end of the rock section. The remainder of the song would play after that. So it basically just removed the opera and rock sections.
