A recent study has shown which countries are set up for decent broadband speeds - those which are ready for future high speeds, those that are "comfortable" (Slovakia - where Pittrek lives), those that are only just scraping by (the UK - where I live!) and those that may as well still be on dial-up!

So. Pittrek's got better broadband than me.
Here I am, living in a third world country that used to rule half the world in the glory days of the British Empire.... growl, growl, spits out dummy, yaadaa yaadaa yaadaa etc, etc.... [/img]

We Americans are starting to say the same thing.
Who would have thought, in a short period of time, that third world countries (such as India, for example) would have superior technological capabilities than the US, UK, Japan, etc. I guess that's what they mean when they coin phrases like "Western arrogance".

I feel like a C-Lebrity now :)
I have actually ordered originally a 160kbps connection, the price hasn't changed at all during the years but right now I'm surfing and at the same time downloading from rapidshare with 1MBps avg speed, and downloading a Queenzone DVD with uTorrent. I haven't even dreamed about this 2 years ago :)
But anyway my upload speed still sucks

Yeah, mine too. approx 45kb/s maximum.
That's about 2-3 hours for a 300mb upload.... :(
