I'm pretty sure it was: I bought the single back in98,

It's the instrumental remix extract from "The Eye" soundtrack

The Eye was some kind of "doom like" video game

I once found a german version, but have never managed to make it run...

Thanks, I have The EyE, so I will check on that. The more I think about it, the more I seem to think there was a remix as an additional track on No One But You..... seeing it yesterday on YouTube threw me somewhat. I am going up into the loft this afternoon to dig out my singles collection to check.

"Gimme The Prize (Instrumental Remix for 'The EYE')" remixed by Joshua J. Macrae. Remixed for "The EYE" but not used (Other slightly different mixes were used on the game).

What a bizarre thing to put on there!

I like the remix, though I wish it had kept the intro guitar of the song along with the "newscaster" from the movie:

Newscaster: "...garage, and water from the sprinkler. They also found a man's decapitated body, lying on the floor next to his own severed head; a head which at this time has no name."
