Me and my wife went to see One Night Of Queen in Southport last night i would just like to say how good they are especially Gary Mullen he is just Freddie completly what a voice.Queen would have been better getting Gary before Paul Rodgers he can sing any Queen song.What a Night..

The thing is, even though Gary Mullen has proven that he can lead a two hour Queen concert. He has less chance of performing with queen than anyone else because he has made his living being Freddie Mercury.
The last thing Brian and Roger probably want to do is higher an imitator, the "fan's" reaction to Paul Rodgers was bad enough can you imagine if it was a real imitator?
Thats just it - Brian and Roger didnt want a Freddie imitator fronting them. Thats why they got Paul.
