Roger Taylor will be a guest on the sofa of BBC1 Breakfast News this coming Friday, 6 November, and will be talking to Bill Turnbull and Sian Williams, in connection with the release later this month of "Queen Absolute Greatest".
Tune in 9:00 - 09:15 am
Can anyone please record it?

Roger has just said that "The Legendary '75 Concert" at Hammersmith was from New Years Eve! (It was early morning though). A nice clip of "Liar" was shown and this was the highlight of this interview. As well as showing video clips Roger also mentioned that he and Brian might work with Adam Lambert in the future. He also said he did watch reality TV shows like "X Factor" and that the best performance of a Queen song was "Somebody To Love" by George Michael.
Was a good interview....he wasnt looking his best though! Nice winklepickers mind!

I just posted about the Bolton thing over on personal...made me laugh right out loud. And hear saxophones.

It was good to hear the little snippet of Liar from Hmmersmith 75 - hopefully it won't be far off being shown on TV and released.
The sound has been worked on and improved considerably, and, given the limitations of the source material, it sounds as if they have done well. The drums sound powerful (compared to the original) and at least they seem to be following the Montreal approach and giving them some 'meat' and a bit of bottom end for once.

Liar does indeed sound awesome. The drums especially.

As for George Michael, I understand Roger said that in the context of the question posed to him, something like "Who even got close to Freddie on a Queen rendition". So, that would be the best guest vocalist in his opinion.

Nice interview, but Roger was very nervous (quite unusual) and told a lot of bullshit. But it was funny :)

..and whatever you do, don't mention Paul Rodgers or "TCR"
It never happened

What was most interesting about this was the amazing audio on the clip of Liar. So it turns out they do indeed have a multitrack recording! Quite interesting that the band/management recorded the gig to multitrack along side the standard BBC stereo mix/es.
