People will always say that John looks old, simply because it's twenty years since we last regularly saw pics of him. If you hadn't seen Roger in twenty years and then saw a pic, you'd go 'fuck me he's aged'. It's the same with your own kids/family/friends - cos you see them everyday you don't notice them change, but they do, drastically in most cases.
