Anyone else felt this was put together willy nilly?
I've been doing compilations for years and thought this would've been a better running order:
We Will Rock You
We are the Champions
Bohemian Rhapsody
Radio Ga Ga
Under Pressure
A Kind of Magic
Killer Queen
Somebody to Love
I Want to Break Free
Another One Bites the Dust
I Want it All
One Vision
Crazy Little Thing Called Love
You're My Best Friend
Heaven for Everyone
Don't Stop Me Now
Seven Seas of Rhye
These are the Days of Our Lives
Who Wants to Live Forever
The Show Must Go On
I know, it's probably immaterial but thought I'd give me 0.2c.
Your thoughts?

It's still a rehash of material we already have 10 times.

That is an excellent running order, FDP. You have a really good feel there for which tracks segue well into each other for maximum 'momentum' and dramatic impact. I must say I agree with you about the running order on AG. Radio Gaga followed by AOBTD being just one example of a running order that doesn't 'flow'.

I don't think any possibly order could make me interested in buying songs that I have 2-3 copies of already.

Well, wasn't here to ask if you're buying it or not, just to discuss the track sequence.
It came as a disappointment to me because Queen is one of the few bands out there that really know how to sequence the songs on their albums. This carried over to their live concerts as well. Every track was strategically placed for maximum effect to achieve the best emotional response.
I'm assuming that the band have less and less to do with the finer details of their output these days and it's probably the engineers that decide stuff like this.
I think track sequencing is a vastly underrated art, not many get it right. You can have a meh album but a well-thought out running order can make it sound better and cajole a listener to "endure" the whole album.

That's why you download a high bitrate torrent and enjoy it for the remastered sound [/img]

I have to say that's a great running order, just sand the intro's and ending's through to myself and it works a treat.
I still can't believe they left Innuendo off though, sacrilege!

I'm almost ashamed to say it, but I bought the vinyl set yesterday. Got to keep the collection complete ;-)
Anyway, interesting to see that it seems that One Vision and A Kind of Magic were originally one song - the lyric sheet of One Vision has some lines from A Kind of Magic during the intro and verses. Also interesting to see some alternate lines to TSMGO. Too bad they only included lyrics for 4 or 5 songs instead of for all 20!

I don't have this...
I already have the somgs a thousand times over. But i would buy it, just for the booklet, as i'm lame like that!

hey,i like your sequence,i might just go and burn a cdr with your running order!!

Exactly, who gives a shit, burn your own cd we all have these tracks and personally they aint abasolute greatest imo. No tymd or htf or Innuendo, at least make it a proper double cd like the stones did with Licks. This album is a complete waste of time. What about us having Robbery or Dog With a Bone, We will Rock You fast version from the Beeb, this stuff is just rehashed and repackaged, no need to buy it!

I disagree... when it comes to greatest hits albums. It doesn't really matter. Some Joe was given the task of arranging the order. Not everyone's gonna like it.
Take THE GAME. Brilliant tracklisting. Perfect flow. If Dragon Attack didn't precede AOBTD and Need Your Loving be the segue into CLTCL, I don't think the album would have worked.

It is rather nice to have the hits remastered by Bernie Grundman. That's probably the only reason to fork out money for it.

Should'nt Bohemian Rhapsody go last? Its their best, well known & most successful & legendery song! Save the best till Last!!!!!
Infact Bo Rap SHOULD'NT be third!!!!! It should either be First or Last on a complimation CD-Lets make that a rule! :)
