Just seeing Brian and Roger together is always awesome. I smiled from ear to ear when they came out.

And isn't it terribly fitting how the contestants mime their obviously autotuned parts while Bri and Roger do their stuff live?

Erm, Brian was playing "live"  to a backing track....

Yes this was a great performance by Brian and Roger, even if only half of the song was performed. It was just as good as their performance with the two finalists on American Idol for We Are The Champions. Great stuff.

Sounded Like Bri & Rog  are playing along with the X-Factor's  house band,  hence the 2nd guitarist during Brian's Solo, when Brian briefly stops playing and the guitar carries on ;-)
Joyful the sound

Love seeing them play together no matter where or when.
Thought the advice was solid and so infact were some of the performances, some less so but at least they were trying.

If it brings new fans to Queen, then IMO that's good right?

Well done Bri and Rog for not falling into the smug Sting trap...what an arse, what has he ever done to help kids get into the business that has brought him soon much??? Nothing, at least some do and do it well WWRY is a great way of getting new talent into the business, and McCartneys shcool in Liverpool is a wonderful idea

Come on Sting, go help a few kids instead of a random tribe in the Amazon for a change

As I said to those who were having a real moan about this on another thread prior to the show what was the problem. A great way to introduce the band to a younger audience (who will buy Absolute Greatest and go on from there) and basically promote the back catalogue to 16M people - what musician in their right mind wouldn't want to promote their music?

None of the wannabes mimed in any way but they were backed up by a hell of a choir. Brian did start off his solo with a bit of bum note but caught up - apart from that, a good night at the office for Bri and Rog methinks.

Felt proud when I saw 'em coming on and acutally enjoying it all.

As for Sting, he's waaay too busy having tantric sex.

At the link above in this thread, have a look at exactly 2.57 and into 2.58....there is definately a slightly duff note/delay in kicking off the solo. This is followed by a slightly frantic catch-up on the fretboard for the next couple of seconds. Undoubtedly.

I'm only a lowly bass player, but how does Taylor nail such a thunderous sound EVERY time he plays these days?  I mean, it's the crashing sound of God from on high when he hits those drums.  Wondrous indeed!

It´s nice to see them playing but after seeing them with Paul Rodgers live a year ago I think they can´t do it without a frontman.
And this bunch of c-lebrities are miles can´t sing.
By the way Adam Lambert (or wathever is his name) can´t do it neither.
Brian, please pick up th phone and call someone like Robert Plant or Gary Cherone!

Yes, Roger is indeed a beast on the drums. He's been playing better recently than ever.

And the contestants are miming, without a doubt. Listen to the amount of autotune, it is obscene!  Like when afro man goes for the high note in "leave me to diiiieeeeeeee".
