I hope somebody records it !

Widescreen ? Then it's probably not the new remaster, but the old Finish (?) remaster of the brutally edited version

Bloody widescreen.
I'd have been more impressed if it was the Whistle Test transmission.
Let's hope the DVD isn't too far behind then - that will be the most worthwhile Queen release since Cosmos Rocks...

my guess(read: hope) is that they will release the dvd in time for christmas.
it would make sense, no?

It's getting a UK DVD release here soon so I would guess at it being a cut down version of that (there must be some editing due to the duration of the transmission) . I have a bad feeling it may also be cropped to make it widescreen, but hope I'm wrong.
I will be recording From Analog TV using a Sony Superbetamax HF950 VCR>Sony ProX L500 tape (stereo sound source will be via a nicam tuner).
I will also be recording from digital TV using a Nokia 221T >Liteon LVW5115GHC DVD recorder>DVDRW (HQ 1 hour mode)
Hope it all doesn't go terribly wrong!

*edit* Kurgan beat me to it.
This broadcast started with a new short introduction by "Whispering" Bob Harris.
Btw.... I did try to record it onto my Philips DVDr but it decided that tonight was the night to fucking well block itself. Fucking heap of shit that it is [/img]

Do I understand it right that you wrote the list of songs which were not from the broadcast ? Or were they only shorter ?
Well I think it's illogical to assume they aired the last two songs, right ?

Just to confirm - Ogre Battle, White Queen and Son & Daughter were NOT broadcast this time. And neither was Bob Harris' original introduction.

That are the songs that were edited out completely. Also, the mistake in Liar was fixed and the christmas references were included. Sound was great! Clearly worked upon;-) (with some reverb added at times etc.)
The rock'n roll medley sounded absolutely fab.
No Seven seas or See what a fool:-( (as could be expected of course).
