The London Borough of Hounslow is proud to unveil Britain’s first permanent memorial to Freddie Mercury on Tuesday 24th November 2009. The event will be attended by Freddie family and former band mates.

Finally, I can put that worry to bed.  That's been bugging me for eighteen years.

Hopefully someone doesn't steal the microphone and replace it with a hot dog like they did with the one in Montreaux.

This delights me to no end. Glad to see Freddie is being honored by his countrymen. If I had the money I would build a memorial to him over here in the U.S......LoL

I think it's going to be a plaque in the neighbourhood where he and his family moved on arrival in the UK.

How is this place doing? Is it being taken care of well? Attracting a lot of fans/tourists?
