Fred's gear

It's often discussed...  the Red Special, a Fender bass, Ludwig drums, etc.  You can buy cheap knockoffs or the real thing. 

But what was Freddie's microphone of choice?  I've only a handfull of concerts to look at.  Did he "demand" the use of a certain mic or did he even worry about that?  Surely somebody endorsed the greatest vocalist of his genre.

I thought this was gonna be about Freddie's 'habit'

i have no idea about it, and i think no one has commented about it on this forum, but i think it's a great subject to discuss!!!

He used a Shure S-69 Cockmeister model.



 



Damn! I tried SO hard to find that Live pic of Freddie where he is playing the piano and the microphone's shadow on him looks like a male organ. It's a picture taken from above the piano, 80's Freddie is wearing his black leather cap and is making a funny face.
