Flip! That's a hard one..

I've seen Maiden and Priest live. Both fucking fantastic.

Plus I love Sabbath too.

yes, sabbath beats all metal bands but if i had to choose between maiden and priest my vote goes to priest cos i like them pretty much (especiall the 80's stuff) and i can't stand maiden, i hate them. if you heard one maiden album you heard them all, they're so predictable, boring and unoriginal

Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter.............

As much I like the Priest, Maiden wins hands down for me.

Not really into either but if you were to offer me a ticket it would deffo be Maiden.

At their peak, it would have to be Maiden, but now, it's Priest, who still offer something fresh. I just can't get into anything Maiden have released lately. It all sounds a bit forced and lacking in inspiration.

I can't stand the maiden reunion albums either!....every song is 10 minutes long, and have 2 minute intro's that sound the same.  The new priest, while not vintage by any means at least sounds new and fresh.   The way i look at is priest was first,  and I think was more influencial than maiden.  Maiden was more talented as an overall band (musically).   The bottom line is who has the more classic albums, and songs?...it's close, but priest takes it IMO.  When you think of metal, it's sabbath, then priest.  glenn and kk were the original 2 man guitar attack that influenced every metal band on the planet, including maiden.  Of course halford is regarded as the metal god himself.  I go with priest!

If the contest is only between those two...DEFINITELY Iron Maiden![/QUOTE]

Won't you come into my room, I wanna show you all my wares.
I just want to see your blood, I just want to stand and stare.
See the blood begin to flow as it falls upon the floor.
Iron Maiden can't be faught, Iron Maiden can't be sought
