This one is for musicians. I am getting some lines from Bohemian Rhapsody tattooed and I am a bit confused.I am getting the words and vocal notes from the last few lines from " nothing really matters" etc. My confusion is thatin my piano vocal guitar book the notes seem to be really high compared to the rest of the song, whereas on my midi files the notes are an octave lower. can anyone help with this confusion as I would like to get the real notes or my tattoo will suck.

Yes I got it and just finnished getting it touched up by my artis on sunday, he is a perfectionist. I go back in 2 weeks so it is healed to see if my artist is finally happy with it and to get my music done. I will post a picture once I get this done. I just need to know what is the right notes as I have mentioned,as anyone who knows about music will know if it is in the wrong octave and once on my skin it will be too late. Also I am going to send a picture to brian and he will think I am a plonker if it is wrong?

The reason the two versions are an octave apart, is because one set of notation is designed for someone to sing, and the other is for a computer to play. It's standard practice for vocal notation to be written an octave higher than how it is actually sung, for ease of notation.
So, the notes from your MIDI file are technically the exact notes that Fred sings. But the notation from your PVG score uses the correct way to notate the vocal line.
I would say the more artistically correct version to use would be the PVG score version.
Whatever you do though, make sure that your artist puts the Eb key signature in the staff is he uses the PVG version, otherwise the notes will be incorrect.
