Speaking of 86 and Yamaha, Spike has à CP80 piano with midi. So one more addition to the Yamaha deal
Who wants some prime jive ?

Yes, they used a CP80 on stage, good point! We forgot about that. Freddie also rehearsed with one. Kind of a horrible sounding piano but it cuts through a mix very well. Keane are very fond of it. It was popular amongst some classical pianists as a semi silent practice instrument with of course a standard action.

Any examples of Queen concerts when that typ of piano can be heard?

Wembley '86 during Impromtu, the CP80 is played rather than the Steinway

Do you heard about Freddie used the Baldwin SD10 Concert Grand on gig or in studio ?

I'm not personally aware that Freddie ever used a Baldwin SD10, although it's quite possible that there were Baldwins in some of the US venues before they started touring with their own piano. It seems that the studio pianos were either Steinway, Yamaha, Bechstein, or the Fazioli.

Also Bosendorfer and some upright ones.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.

Yes the Bösendorfer..... I forgot about that.

By the way, the jangle piano on Killer Queen - do we think there's a possibility that it's the Challen? Challen made a piano that has a pedal on the far left, that brings down little metal tongues so that when the hammer strikes, it jangles. https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/18524/lot/231/

They're actually fairly widely available if you know where to look, but the one I've posted the link to was the one in Abbey Road when the Beatles were there hence the high price

The multi-tracks listed it as a harpsichord, and I'm willing to agree with them. A jangle piano (could be a Challen, could be anything else) was played on 'Seven Seas', another one on 'Leroy Brown' and another one on 'Rendezvous' - those three songs were all recorded at different studios.

It's absolutely not a harpsichord, of that I'm sure.

Not even an electric one?
