Hey, got an inquiry for you collectors here that are fairly knowledgeable about how much Queen solo records are valued at, because I think I got QUITE a steal when I found this at one of my local record shops for fifty cents when I'm sure it should have been sold for a lot more:

NICE FIND DUDE!!! Not sure how much it would be worth but if you had the original sleeve it would be even that much more.. I'm some some fans here can give you some info better than me on this topic. Again, good job on finding this artifact! Where was the record store?
I've seen those go for about 30 USD or something. Nice find!
I believe the picture sleeve was only available for the Netherlands and for Belgium. The latter is the rarer of the two and both are worth over $100-150 USD.

It was at a local record shop called Blackbyrd Myoozik. http://www.blackbyrd.ca
Typically I usually have better luck finding Queen rarities from time to time at another one called Freecloud Records. Last find of mine there was the US 12" Radio Promo for "Princes Of The Universe", which I recall I got for $12.
i'm jealous. i agree, very nice find. enjoy it.
Good one, Richard! :-) As I'm sure I've said before, I wish we had a decent record store around here.
Two people are selling it on ebay at the moment.
Look at the prices.

Blimey!
Well done for finding that Richard!
If only I could find a Hammer To Fall picture sleeve for 50 pence..... :)
I still can't believe the bargain bins at Woolworths were full of them for 20p or something silly back in 1984 when I wasn't a "fan".
If only they were still there 2 years later....

I think they're worth closer to $1000 - $1500.

EIL's prices tend to be well over the actual going value.
However, and I must HOLY SHIT this one too myself, there's a DEMO (promo) copy for that 2nd one you mentioned, currently priced at £71.49:

Oh. Woah. NIIIICE. Now, excuse me- I have to go change my pants.
Below is a picture of the acetate. Can anybody upload a better quality?

Is that definitely legit? I'd always assumed it was a fan made thing, which they then got signed. Surely an acetate wouldn't have originally come with a picture sleeve. Maybe Roger made it up to give the acetate to someone as a gift, but seems unlikely?
Anyway - I thought you only posted under your "real name"? lol

Exact the same sleeve, with autograph, is printed in an issue of Record Collector (Feb 2000, Issue 246). If it was a fake, I suppose they wouldn't use it. But, since they use the word 'allegedly', it's clear that they're not sure either.
I have never seen a picture of the sleeve without the autograph. Also a picture of the label was never shown.

I would definitely assume it wasn't legit/official - acetates typically come in a generic recording/mastering studio sleeve or a blank one. I guess RC believed it to be genuine as it was autographed, which doesn't really mean anything though.
