I'm looking foreward to hearing Let Me in (Your Heart Again) and the possible Queen version of Freedom Train.

Sandbox had more promise than most of the stuff on The Game, and yet they did nothing with it...

Party should have been elbowed for something like You Are The Only One.

Self Made Man was a great demo but it would never have made it onto Innuendo. The middle bit was too much like I Can't Live With You.

I think Innuendo would have been a great double album if they used some of this stuff.

I know more unknown stuff than you - Queen
dokken11 · Member since
Holly2003, I never heard of such songs as
1 take it easy (Deacon)
2 sound of love (Fred)
3 i'm game (are you?) (May/Taylor)
4 sound of money (Fred)
5 playing for keeps (May)
6 crossroads woman (May)
9 duck soup (May/taylor)
11 sun times sundays (Deacon)
13 where's the party? (Taylor)
14 mad men and wild women (unknown)
15 new world callin' (Indian lovesong) (May),
when they were written, during sessions above what albums, tell ??.....

Wait a minute... there are more than 15 unreleased songs available to the public? How do these things happen? How can we get those unreleased songs that are released somehow?

does anybody know about the track Assassin?
Jam Monkey · Member since
Well there have been alot of rummours about Assassin over the years, and a few fake demos have circulated, but to the best of my knowledge there is no firm evidence that it exsists, and even if it does it is probably not a complete track.

Fuck it, I only just saw this thread and had a lot of great answers to the original post, but they've all been said already. Damn, too slow lol
Btw, "The profit's Song", I nearly fuckin choked it was so funny.
Top 15 (seriously, and in my opinion) unreleased songs (imagining some were complete, based on their potential):
1 - New York, New York 2 - Hangman 3 - Polar Bear (Freddie Vocals) 4 - Keep Yourself Alive ("Long Lost Re-take") 5 - I Guess We're Falling Out 6 - You Are The Only One 7 - Face It Alone 8 - Sandbox 9 - Self Made Man 10 - Let Me Live (With Rod Stewart) 11 - Play The Game (With Andy Gibb) 12 - White Queen (BBC Session 4) 13 - Nevermore (BBC Session 4) 14 - Spread Your Wings (BBC Session 6) 15 - Cool Cat (With Bowie)
The reason the Stewart and Gibb tracks are so far down the list is because of pure curiosity, although I feel the ones that were officially released would be the best versions, and the reason the BBC session ones are further down is because they are some of the greatest unreleased tracks, but we have heard them in their purest form. Everything above those (or the idea of them, at least) really excites me.
I know that some of those are based on speculation, but would I would also love to hear Assassin. Victory would have been on the list if it was definitely a Queen track, I think it's a Mercury/ Jackson only collaboration....

Why not 14? Or 16?

Exactly.
I've always sort of wondered why lists have to be in increments of 5, like Top 5 Movies and Top 10 Songs, 25 Greatest Whatevers of the 20th Century...
I recommend the various editions of The Book Of Lists, which has some fascinating and curious lists from throughout history, some are hilarious, some are like Things To Do To Survive A Bear Attack...and the lists vary in quantity of entries, like Cracked.com.
As for 15 Unreleased Queen songs, are there that many?
Counting through what I have (or know exists), excluding versions released, in no particular order:
01) Silver Salmon 02) Polar Bear 03) Feelings 04) Feeling Feelings 05) Feel Like 06) You're the Only One 07) Hangman 08) Sandbox 09) Let Me In (Your Heart Again) 10) I Guess We're Falling Out 11) Dog With A Bone 12) My Secret Fantasy 13) Robbery 14) Face It Alone 15) Self-Made Man
Hmm, I guess they do have that many. Maybe I'll make a CD for the car (though I don't have any version of tracks 08, 09 or 14), subbing a live version of "Take Love" in there, along with some other stuff.

I am really hoping that the rumored Queen version of Love Making Love from the AKOM sessions surfaces someday. For me, that track was a highlight of the Freddie Box Set. Wonderful track.
