Regarding Freddie ever touching the Red Special...

Let me tell you this....

I have seen footage, really wonderful and unexpected footage, showing Freddie not only touching the guitar, but playing it, and playing it very competently. I was shocked, startled and hugely impressed.

Sorry I cannot say more, but I'm certain you'll see that footage one day. No clues other than it is from the 70s.

C'mon... give ME a hint.

Will I still be able to hear and poop without assistance when something from the 70s is released or will my grandchildren have to tell me about it while spoon feeding me mashed bananas?  I'm close to 40 now.

As far as I know there are also no pictures of Freddie sitting on the toilet. So he never did that either.

He just let his shit accumulate and then released it all with Body Language and 'Mr Bad Guy'. He left some for Delilah too, and My Baby Does Me.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.

To say 'that album sucked' I haven't got to be able to write a better one.

And by the way, I couldn't be a computer geek, as all I know is how to write e-mails and post on forums. Well, I also know how to print but I've often got problems with that.

And yes, the songwriting in 'Bad Guy' is pretty good, but the arrangements and recordings aren't... at least not for Fred's standards. Same for the mentioned songs. Why do you care so much about my posts? Are you obsessed with me or something?

No not obsessed,  I just hate people who think they know it all.   Especially putting down a muscian who Influenced generations of future muscians, and will continue to until the end of time.

If so, then you shouldn't have anything against me because:

1. I don't think I know it all.
2. I don't put down any musician.

To Holly2003, who wrote...

Err... what do you mean you can't say more? Is there some sort of embargo in even talking about what Queen did in the past? You mine this site for info. for your book, yet won't provide even the most innocuous info. in return.

GB replies... Err, what I mean is that the footage I view in the course of my work, the job I am paid to do by the band, is private and not for me to go blabbing publicly about. It will remain so until such times as the band decide those details can be disclosed.

I don't know why you take the tone you do, as if the concept of employer/employee trust and discretion cannot apply to me. It applies to me and my particular job more, in fact, than to most of the people I know.

Yes I can talk about Queen and the past, obviously, and there is no embargo on innocuous chat, as you say, but that doesn't mean I can watch unseen footage and then make it public.... no more than Clerks who work for Lloyds can make public the private material they are privy to during office hours.

Your comment about being innocuous is merely your take on it. Actually, footage of Freddie playing BM's guitar, and the circumstances in which that rare event happened, are not innocuous or trivial in my opinion. I think it's actually quite significant... not that that's the point!!

Is this stuff about me not blabbing private details I come across during my work not obvious to you?????????????????????

Err... except you have form don't you? A history of asking for information and then not replying when someone asks a related question. And let's not forget the exchange of info. about live recordings a while back. People freely gave you whatever info.they had, and in return, you provided an unhelpful, garbled, unspecific and probably inaccurate list of what's supposedly available in the Queen archive. I don;t think you've provided one bit of info. that someone here didn't already know about. The latest "info." is about Fred playing the RS, which would be genuinely interesting if we could trsust you, but of course you "can't" talk about it because you're under orders from the band/Queen productions. Yeah, right...

GB, this isn't rare footage.  We all remember Freddie stepping in for Brian at Live Aid and playing the Bo Rhap solo .... it's on Youtube.
