It's been suggested before, but I would think that Johnny Depp would make a terrific Freddie. I must say, I would love there to be a film about Freddie. Yes, it will be flawed, but the world needs to be reminded of the genius that he was, and if there was a film about Johnny Cash, there needs to be a film about Freddie!

It's been suggested before, but I would think that Johnny Depp would make a terrific Freddie. I must say, I would love there to be a film about Freddie. Yes, it will be flawed, but the world needs to be reminded of the genius that he was, and if there was a film about Johnny Cash, there needs to be a film about Freddie!

True, which is why I am a little hesitant, but I do think that it's important that more people, particularly in the US, recognise him for the genius that he really was , which is why, even if it's crap, I think a film would be good. Plus, I do think it'll be fun to see a film about Freddie, and it couldn't be as bad as We Will Rock You.

Any film made about Freddie would just descend into his 'struggle' with being 'gay' in the 'rock world' and his getting the 'AIDS' and 'hiding' it until he had no choice but to 'tell the world' before he 'died'.
(The words in the ' ' are the criteria the movie publisher will have to get the Director into agreeing with what the film must be about before releasing the funds to produce it)
