At live aid when queen are performing there is a man on the left hand side of the stage, who freddie keeps looking at, at first I thought it was Jim Hutton but seeing pictures of freddie and jim at live aid, this guy is nothing like him

Jim Hutton was at Live Aid, he was one of Freddie`s guests.Jim mentioned In his book that It was the first time he had seen Freddie perform live.Behind Freddie`s piano there Is a quick shot on the Live Aid dvd which you can make out Is Jim Beach, I presume Jim Hutton would have been watching from the same area as Jim Beach, so I presume Freddie was looking towards one of the Jim`s or both of them!

When one has watched the footage relentlessy and you know every frame like the back of your hand, you do start to look at the peripherals and whats going on around the stage. And my favourite is the guy on the right hand side of the stage during Radio Ga Ga.
Now my opinion on this fella is; he worked for the BBC/ production co or whatever and Queen being 'his band' used his lofted posistion to take up the most audacious, cheekiest 'seat' in rock music history during Queens slot. The guys sheer enthusiasm is brilliant to watch, clapping in appreciation during the verse of Ga Ga never mind the chorus, shaking his head at one point as if astounded by the level of performance he was witnessing.
I can just imagine him still drinking out on this one, forever reminding his mates down the pub he was positioned on the stage at the most talked about performance of all time. In fact, i'd probably buy him a pint if i ever met him!

But as I am totally scared of heights I wouldn't have been able to watch them from that high up, let alone so precariously positioned! I would give anything to have been able to watch it from the side of the stage like that, though. Damn me only being nearly 3 years old at the time!!!
